Grain Superintendent
Division: Interstate Mills
Position Summary: To oversee the location operations, safety compliance and quality assurance of the operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Report for work when scheduled.
- Know and follow all company safety policies and procedures. Perform work in a safe manner.
- Build quality relationships with customers and provide sound advice/recommendations based on knowledge.
- Communicate and coordinate personnel and operational needs to upper management.
- Ensure inventory quality and quantity.
- Communicate information to employees, account manager and upper management on specific situations that may arise.
- Acts as a liaison with other locations and outside agencies.
- Purchase grain through use of company marketing contracts.
- Build and maintain customer relationships.
- Community Involvement including but not limited to schools (FFA, superintendent meetings,) township meetings, and other local organizations (fire departments)
Other Related Tasks:
- Represent yourself and Interstate Mills professionally at all times in action and appearance – positively enriching the culture of Interstate Mills.
- Work in an effective and efficient manner.
- Make recommendations for improvements in the facility or to equipment, office practices, and procedures.
- Continue personal and educational self-development.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited business administration program or a related program.
- Prefer 4 year college degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years management and merchandising experience.
- Experience in operating a grain loading shuttle facility.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office –Word, Excel, Outlook

- The nemployee is occasionally to frequently require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and walking.
- The employee may occasionally be required to safely lift objects or assist with the lifting of objects of 50 lbs.
